General Safety Measures

  • Continuously practice good hygiene measures by regularly and thoroughly washing your hands with soap and water or by means of using alcohol-based hand rub upon arrival at work or at home. Observe hand washing before and after contact with food, after using the toilet, and upon contact with any surfaces outside the premises.
  • When outside the office or client facility, avoid crowded areas or places where people come together as you are more likely to come into close contact with people who are sick or someone that has COVID-19.
  • Stay away with people who are sick and/or have signs of respiratory tract infection. Always maintain a distance between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing.
  • Regularly wear a face mask during your tour of duty or when you are in a public/crowded places and while on board a public transportation as precautionary measures, but make sure it is regularly washed and/or replaced.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth. Hands touch many surfaces and can pick-up viruses. Once contaminated, hands can transfer the virus to your eyes, nose and mouth.
  • Stay home and self-isolate if you feel unwell or even with minor symptoms such as cough, headache and mild fever. If your fever and cough persist and you have difficulty in breathing seek medical advice. Do not report for duty anymore and returned to work only until you recover.
  • Regularly clean and sanitize your workstation and the client/agency issued equipment/s in your area to further reduce, if not eliminate the occurrence of germs and bacteria on surfaces and objects in your workstation.
  • Stay physically and mentally healthy and avoid things that can run you down. Focus your attention on what you can do, instead of the uncertainty of the situation. Focus on safety measures and protocols which are in your control.
